About Us

RadhaGopinath.com is a non-profit website of the Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir, Chowpatty, Mumbai.

It offers you all information on various activities and services carried out by the temple.

Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir. This temple is a member of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), whose Founder-Acharya is His Divine Grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Gopinath were installed on July 18th 1988.  Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurachandra and Sri Gopalji were installed in 1990.

Spiritual activities carried out by the temple for humanitarian  welfare purposes–
Bhaktivedanta Hospital at Mira Road serves the patients with love and devotion, offering them a modern, scientific and Holistic health care service.
Mid-day Meals Programme provides free sanctified and nutritious food to the underprivileged children of Mumbai.
ISKCON Youth Services, Mumbai presents spiritual science through lectures and multimedia presentations in colleges throughout Mumbai.
Value Education Programmes are held in high schools all over Mumbai.
Bhaktivedanta Academy for Culture and Education (BACE) conducts weekend courses in Vedic knowledge.
Various books and magazines on Vedic literature are available at the temple.
Through its Lady Northcote Hindu Orphanage many young boys are being educated in the Vedic school of thought.
 
Festivals: Throughout the year a number of colourful festivals like Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Gaur Poornima, Narsimha Chaturdashi,Govardhan Puja,etc are celebrated. Devotees enthusiastically participate in wonderful ceremonial functions of Lord Krishna’s pastimes like Jhulan Leela, Pusya Abhishek, Nauka Vihar leela, Chandan Yatra  etc. Festivals here are characterised by melodious bhajans, dancing kirtans, pravachans on the importance of these festivals followed by sumptuous feast prasadam.
 
 
Yatras: Visiting Holy places is one of the principles of devotional service. Devotees regularly visit such auspicious places as Vrindavan, Mayapur, Jagannath Puri, Dwaraka, Badrinath, Tirupati, Udipi and more. Discourses describing the significance and pastimes of the holy dham, visiting ancient temples and taking darshan of Deities and congregational chanting are some of the highlights of these yatras.
 
 
 

Dramas: Achieving 'Unity in Diversity' has always been a challenge, but not at Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir. Industrialists, housewives, professionals, school children all team up to present a loving offering of dramas to a spiritually vibrant community of 2000 members situated in and around South Mumbai.
